Main activities of Institute of Physiologicaly Active Compounds of Russian Academy of Sciences (IPAC RAS).

   Main activity of IPAC RAS is the fundamental study in the field of search and selection of effective physiologicaly active compounds (PAC) for a variety of purposes.

   IPAC structure provides the whole complex of scientific investigations.

 Computer Molecular Design.

• Creation of novel computer algorithms, programs and complexes for the effective prediction, search and selection of PAC.
• QSAR for a wide spectrum of properties.

 Synthetic Chemistry.

• Synthesis of novel classes of organic and elementoorganic compounds for testing of biological properties;
• Isolation and synthetic modification of natural compounds;
• Novel fluorine containing PAC and fluorining agents;
• New types of phosphoros containing compounds.

 Study of biological properties of organic compounds. Biochemical mechanisms.

• Testing and screening of organic compounds;
• Study of mechanism of biological actions.

 Education.

• PhD (Candidate Degrees) programs in the area of drug design, organic synthesis, biochemistry;
• Educational programs in the field of medicinal chemistry in the frame of Scientific Research Center of Medicinal Chemistry.
